I salute all that you do.  Hope your kids are treating you right today.    

Wow, finally time to do a feature!  It’s been a bear of a semester and I’m glad it’s over.  I’ve also been babysitting my granddaughter much of my free time because my kid finally got a job.  It’s hard to believe she is over 7 months old now and very active.  When I finally get on line late in the evening I so tired I don’t feel like doing much but pointing and clicking, so I’m doing a lot of fave and run and not much typing.

I want to thank everyone for all the faves and the lovely comments… and for the llamas! I wasn’t sure that I cared too much for the whole llama badge thing, but I’ve met some very nice people through trading.  I think we get tied up in our own little community and trading llama badges gets us to go further abroad in DA.  That said, be aware that I check to see how many llamas a person has given before I give one out.  If you are someone who just sucks in llamas and doesn’t give back, you ain’t getting one from me !  I actually saw someone last night who had a ninja llama and hadn’t given back even ten badges.  Talk about selfish.

Now for the good stuff.  

Today is my birthday!  I’m off today (it’s in between sessions) and Hubby bought me a dozen long-stem roses and is taking me out for dinner tonight along with my daughter and grandbaby.  I’m enjoying the much needed rest.  My daughter is cleaning houses for work now and is giving me a housecleaning for a present.  That’s a switch .

My apologies for all the birthdays I’ve missed.  I used to be pretty good about making birthday gifts, but my online time is so sporadic I’ve had to sort of put that on hold.  I’m going to try to do better.

A sad requiem for a fallen hero

I know this is going to sound kind of juvenile for someone my age, but I come from a family of comic book lovers.  A few days ago Marvel killed off my favorite character.  I wanted to honor of the death of Kurt Wagner, Nightcrawler of the X-men.  One of the only openly Christian superheroes, he looked like a demon but had the heart of an angel... and he sure could kick booty when he needed to. No better way to teach kids not to judge a book by its cover. Here’s hoping he will be resurrected in a future date as Marvel tends to do with its popular characters. I’m just sorry the writers have to resort to shock to sell books rather than good writing.
